Had a gyro today for lunch. Loved it. I'll be back for more real soon. $10.95 plus tax. It's was loaded. Almost every bite had some meat falling out of it.
Yummy! Everyone in our family loves the food here. The restaurant is clean and the workers are nice and fast. We have been here a few times during our stay and both ate there as well as called and picked up our order. Probably will be back a few more times before we head home to California!
After a long time, I am back to this restaurant. I must say the food is consistently good. It's a small restaurant in downtown Silver Spring serving big flavorful food. Prices are reasonable and portions are significantly large. Definitely give this locally owned restaurant a try.
MAN OH MAN!!! This restaurant is the best when it comes to quality service and food! I booked TBGC for my school's end of year luncheon/checkout, and this location was helpful with providing the best food options for my staff. Since we're at the end of the school year, funds for extracurricular activities are limited, and I was able to speak with the manager concerning the unit cost of menu items per employee served. The manager was so helpful in providing me options to serve staff--we had gyros, veggie lasagna (which was a staff favorite), salad, rice, and hummus. We had over 130 staff to feed, and we STILL had two trays of food left!! The food was fresh and sooooo good! Staff raved about the food selection, and my principal stated that the luncheon was the best luncheon she's been to or has seen organized in the three years of her administration. Thank you, TBGC, for helping TPMS in Silver Spring close out our school year!
Concur with prior reviews - if you're going to go here please make it a Wednesday and take advantage of their $7 gyro special! The pita is warm and soft, meat freshly prepared with just the right amount of onion, tomato (if that's your thing, you do you!) and tzatziki sauce wrapped up in what can only be described as deliciousness. Highly recommend with prompt and friendly service!
Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. I got the chicken souvlaki pita and roasted potatoes. DELICIOUS! Generous portion of chicken, the creamy dressing on the side was so delicious and you could tell it was homemade. The little cube of feta and pepperoni on the side were a good touch. The roasted POTATOES were soooo yummy and I'll definitely be craving these. Service was fast, the shop was very clean and simple. I'll definitely be stopping by again whenever I'm running errands around Silver Spring!
The Greek fries - that's all you need to know. I mean, everything there is pretty good, but oh the fries... I'm also a fan of the pita sandwich with falafel - I always get extra tzatziki so I can dip the fries. Service is usually pretty quickly. Every now and then their online ordering system is down, but usually super easy to order online, walk in and pick up!
THE BEST GYRO'S IN THE AREA. They are really really good. I wish they gave you more than ONE cube of feta per gyro, and I wish they once remembered the extra tzatziki that we paid for in our delivery order... but alas their food is good enough to overlook these things on occasion. Their fries are also amazing- which was not expected but they are the kind where you eat them all in one sitting and then wonder what the hec happened. We also have really loved the fried flounder platter, the salads and the dolmades. It's the best fast food/Greek food in the vicinity and we will be back!
